Tankrow is an Android app that keeps a fuel and service log on the phone where it is installed. You type odometer readings, fuel amounts, costs, and service dates. Tankrow calculates fuel economy and shows which service is due next. It does not connect to your car, read GPS, or track where you drive.
Accounts
Tankrow does not ask you to create an account, and it does not offer a sign-in. There is no Tankrow user profile on a server operated by PocketFoundry.
Data stored on the phone
The app saves a local file that can contain vehicle names and the unit you chose for each vehicle; fill-ups with date, odometer, fuel amount, total cost, whether the tank was filled, and an optional note; services with name, date, odometer, optional cost, optional interval in months or distance, and an optional note; whether a row is an example; whether the one-time unlock is recorded on this phone; whether the examples have already been created; whether the example notice has been dismissed; and whether reminders are turned on. That file stays in the app's private storage. Tankrow does not upload it.
You can edit or delete any row inside the app. Remove examples deletes only example rows. Uninstalling the app removes the local file from that phone. A new phone does not receive the old log. Android backup is turned off for this app, so the log is not copied by Android backup.
Notifications
If you turn reminders on, the app can post a notification at about 09:00 local time on the day before a service date it calculated from your entries. Android may ask for notification permission at that moment. If you decline, the log still works and no reminder is posted. Reminders are scheduled with Android WorkManager, which uses the wake-lock and boot-completed permissions so a scheduled check survives a restart. Tankrow does not request an exact-alarm permission.
Purchases
Google Play processes the optional one-time purchase that raises the vehicle limit from one to five and enables CSV export. Tankrow uses the Play Billing library to ask whether that product is owned and to show the price Play returns. The app does not receive your card number. Google's handling of payment data is covered by Google's own policies.
The Billing library uses the Internet and network-state permissions. Tankrow does not add an advertising SDK, an analytics SDK, or permissions for location, camera, microphone, contacts, or Bluetooth.
Sharing
CSV export, after the one-time purchase, creates a file in the app's cache and opens the system share sheet. The file goes only where you send it. Tankrow does not sell data and does not share the log with a server of its own.
Children
Tankrow is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
