Glaslog: Aquarium Log

Write a test number. See it next to the earlier ones.

Glaslog: Aquarium Log

What it does

Add a tank, then a parameter and a unit, such as pH or nitrate in ppm. Type the number from the test kit and choose the date. History lists the newer reading above the older ones. When two readings exist, the screen says the latest number is higher, lower, or the same as the one before it. A short line shows the last few values. Glaslog does not say the water is safe, and it does not tell you to change water, add a chemical, or move a fish.

One tank stays free, including the sample tank that opens with the app. Edit those example numbers or delete the tank. Deleted examples are not created again. A one-time purchase raises the limit from 1 tank to 6 and turns on CSV export. There is no subscription. Google Play shows the price at purchase.

Each tank can hold 12 parameters. Each parameter can hold 400 readings. A value can use up to 4 decimal places and cannot be negative. A date cannot be later than today or earlier than 1 January 2000. The app stores that date at noon in the phone's time zone.

Readings stay in a file on this phone. Uninstalling deletes the file. Another phone does not receive the old numbers. Restoring the purchase restores the extra tanks and CSV export, not the readings.

CSV columns are tank, parameter, unit, value, time, and note. Sharing uses the Android share sheet, and only after the purchase.

How a session works
