Nuvotab: Split expenses

What it does

Record an expense

Add the people in a group and enter what someone paid. Split the amount equally, or type an exact share for each person. Amounts stay in minor units, so a 10.00 bill shared by two people stays 5.00 and 5.00. If a total does not divide evenly, the leftover units go to members in a fixed order.

Balances

Nuvotab shows who is owed and who owes. It also suggests the payments that would settle the group. A suggestion is a calculation, not a transfer.

Record a repayment

When someone pays another person back, record that payment in the ledger. When the amounts match, the balances show settled. Deleting a group removes its members and entries from this phone.

Free and one-time unlock

The download is free. There are no ads and no subscription. The free version keeps one group and does not limit how many entries you add in a day. A one-time Google Play purchase raises the limit to 20 groups and turns on JSON export. Play shows the price. If that product is not offered yet, the free group still works.

Privacy

Groups stay on this device. There is no account. Uninstalling the app removes the ledger. The internet permission is only there so Google Play can complete the optional purchase.

This is a notebook, not a payment service. Check the numbers before you settle up outside the app.

How a session works

Nuvotab is a shared-expense ledger for one Android phone. You write down who paid, who shares a cost, and what is still owed. The app does not send money, does not connect to a bank, and does not upload your groups.
